Fox 3.2 Internal Bypass Shocks — The Biggest Upgrade in the Lineup
Race-bred technology, now available as a bolt-on for your street truck or SUV.
Before you go chasing travel numbers online, hear this: a big-diameter bolt-on shock with position sensitive damping is going to out-perform a smaller shock with more travel. The new Fox 3.2 internal bypass shocks are the latest and greatest available for new Toyota and Lexus platforms — and they're a massive step forward from what we've been running.
Fox 3.2 Internal Bypass
What Makes These Different
Key upgrades on the Fox 3.2 vs. the old 2.5 series:
- 3.2" diameter body — bigger piston, more damping force
- Massive finned reservoirs — virtually impossible to overheat on your vehicle
- Internal bypass design — patented, position sensitive and velocity specific damping for the best ride across any terrain
- DSC Evo system New — variable valve control on the high-speed circuit; does not add preload to the shim stack to adjust high-speed damping
- Independent high and low speed circuits — more confident, more capable, increased capacity for big hits
The internal bypass design is what separates these from everything else in the bolt-on category. Position sensitive and velocity specific damping means the shock responds differently depending on where it is in its travel and how fast it's moving — not a one-size-fits-all compression rate. That's the same technology found on purpose-built race vehicles, and it's now available for your daily driver or weekend rig.

What DSC Evo Actually Does
The old way to adjust high-speed damping was to add preload to the shim stack. It worked, but it muddied the relationship between the high and low speed circuits — they weren't truly independent. DSC Evo fixes that.
DSC Evo — how it works:
- Uses variable valve control on the high-speed damping circuit
- Does not add preload to the shim stack to adjust high-speed damping
- Result: truly independent high and low speed circuits
- Increased capacity to handle big hits without compromise
