This feature is designed to improve\u003cbr\u003efuel economy but does add a vulnerable load bearing casting to long side\u003cbr\u003eof the JL\/JLU\/JT front axle tube.  Castings are known to be delicate to\u003cbr\u003eimpact loads and being that impacts of the axle is invevitable off road,\u003cbr\u003eprotection is a must.  The EVO MFG JL\/JT CAD adds much needed protection by\u003cbr\u003eretaining the partial factory skid plate and adding an addtional 3\/16”\u003cbr\u003esteel full coverage skidplate not only protecting the FAD casting and\u003cbr\u003ewiring harness but also extending forward to protect the highly\u003cbr\u003evulnerable front steering stabilizer.
