It should shift easy, forcing the lever will break your differential. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eFirst, find the place you want to mount the shift lever and make sure the cable reaches from the lever to your front actuator. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThen mark the spots where the shift lever needs to be secured, drill the holes and mount the shift lever, drill one extra hole for the pull cable. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003ePush the cable through that hole, screw the pull cable into the shift lever and then mount the shift lever. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eRun the cable down to the actuator. Stay clear of any hot or moving parts. Do not make any sharp bends.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eNext, remove your electric actuator, you can unplug it and disregard it or even simply strap it up inside the machine and leave it plugged in and out of the way. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eInstall the pull cable into the manual actuator, put the o-ring on the back of the actuator. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eMount the Sure 4 manual 4x4 actuator onto your differential using the two new screws supplied.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eTest the movement of the actuator, you must have the front wheels off the ground to do this, start to shift into 4WD, rotate the front wheels with your foot while applying a small amount of pressure to the lever to shift into 4WD, it should slide into 4WD easily when the gears inside your differential line up and allow them to slide together. This is the same process for shifting into Diff Lock. NEVER FORCE THE SHIFT LEVER.
